Photo of statue of Cornelia Connelly on the grounds of the the Old Ursuline Convent in New Orleans. This statue is one six honoring religious women who played an important role in the life of the church in New Orleans. Cornelia made her profession of faith in 1835 at the convent when it was the residence of the bishops of New Orleans. The scuplture was made by Franco Alessandrini. |
